Heading back into AR

I am feeling good today!  We picked a load yesterday afternoon in Orange, TX.  Were supposed to deliver it to Memphis last night. We had stopped along the way to get something to eat when I noticed a group of people glued to a TV.  When I looked to see what was so interesting, I learned about hurricane Lee.  We were planning to go through New Orleans to pick up highway 55 north to Memphis.  Ronnie made a quick decision to alter our course and we drove north through the center of Louisiana and cut over to Jackson, Mississippi and went north into Memphis.  We got to Memphis about 12:30am and dropped our trailer at the Swift terminal.  We found a truck stop and spent our first night sleeping while not moving in quite a while.
We slept in until 9:00am.  Got up and got cleaned up. Took care of some errands and had a wonderful meal at Red Lobster.  We went by Verizon wireless and took care of some cell phone issues.  Then we finally got a load assignment.  Our new load picks up in Conway, Arkansas tomorrow.  It is scheduled to be delivered in Romeoville, IL on Monday.  The best thing about this load is that we have to go through Saint Louis to get to our final destination.  That means we can stop for an hour or two so I can see Diane! Yea!  We will probably park at Harrahs casino in Earth City.  Ronnie has graciously agreed to try his luck on the casino while I am home.  The only catch is trying to figure out when we will arrive in Saint Louis.  We are scheduled to pick up the load anytime between 6:00pm and midnight.  We already drove to Little Rock so we are less than an hour away from the shipper.  Our plan is to give the shipper a call around noon tomorrow to see if we can pick the load up early.  Whenever we do pick up the load, it will take us around six hours to get to Saint Louis........I am looking forward to my second night in a row of sleeping while not moving! Then I get to visit with my family....

Life is good.  I took a picture of the sky as we were heading west toward Little Rock.....bye for now......Tom
